There are folk who will compare

Tory Dave with Tony Blair

But Tone gave what he thought he could

While Dave saves what he thinks he should.

Politicians are foolish if they hope for gratitude

So what we must expect - and get - 

Is platitude after platitude.

Trained in speaking endless tosh

Without any real meaning

Each speech scanned and vetted

Via very careful screening

Dave hopes when the election comes

Good housekeeping is noted

By those who take the trouble

To make sure that they have voted

Cruel to be kind does not sound good

 When seeking re-election

But neither does it help

To stop and "talk a new direction"

So - if you think Dave seems like Tone

And see a resemblance there 

Your wouldn't be alone, I own...

But who said life was fair?

One thing about this spend and save

That isn't at all funny

Is the fact that come what may

It's down to hard-earned money!
