Kate Tempest joins Slambassadors search to find new young performers

Performance poetry star Kate Tempest will be on the judging panel for Slambassadors UK, the Poetry Society’s national youth slam championships, aimed at finding and nurturing the next generation of spoken word artists. Young slam performers aged 12-18 still have time to enter, by submitting a performance video – maximum time two minutes - on the theme of Identity. The closing date is 10 October. The six final winners will be invited to London to attend a master class led by poet Joelle Taylor, before performing a debut professional set at the Royal Festival Hall on 31 October.
