HABITAT HIPPY

entry picture

The cheesecloth dress, Doc Marten boots

Tie-dye shirt and beads

Slightly dippy, Habitat Hippy

Bags of sunflower seeds

Roedean Ladies, cultured accent

No stranger to the Hilton

Full-time work, likes to smirk

In the summer goes to Pilton

Not for her the great unwashed

She finds them “Oh so creepy!”

Vegetable matter, and a warm ciabatta

Plus a duvet in her Tepee

Designer clothes and Gucci shoes

She leaves them in the City

Swaps Harvey Nichols for organic pickles

With a chargecard in her kitty

She’s a weekend Eco warrior

As long as the sun does shine

A Habitat Hippy, if it’s not too nippy

Now it's Glastonbury time

Cheers for all for your very kind words on this. It is much appreciated.

It just shows to me how important comments can be. Inspiration and ideas can be sparked like a Ray Mears campfire from a kind comment.
This was the catalyst needed for the creation of Habitat Hippy.

Thank you.

Thanks Daniel, for your comment on "Family". Your poems are a lot of fun to read, and this one reminds me of a good friend of mine. "Swaps Harvey Nichols for organic pickles"...haha great line ;)
