Deadline nears for Black Country museum competition

entry picture

There's till time to enter the third Black Country Living Museum £100 annual poetry competition - the deadline is 26 September. This year’s theme, “conflict and contemplation”, is inspired by the story of the Black Country and informed by the centenary of the outbreak of the first world war. You can interpret the conflict as military, family, industrial or personal: there are many kinds of conflict and many ways of looking at them.

The judges will be the museum’s poet-in-residence and Radio Wildfire presenter, Dave Reeves; the 2013 BCLM poetry competition winner, Roz Goddard; and Mel Weatherley, head of learning at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley. More details
