Travel the Pennine way: Write Out Loud at Marsden tonight

entry picture

Travel is the theme of Write Out Loud at Marsden, at the library, in Marsden Mechanics Institute, on Wednesday 16 April. Travel is what Marsden is about, with the A62, once the Liverpool- Manchester-Leeds-Hull trunk road, the canal and railway crowded into this narrow Pennine valley, as well as the old packhorse routes, and footpaths; and the river, streams, spillways, sluices and channels aiding the movement of Marsden’s most abundant resource. This event is part of the Kirklees Around The Word in 80 Days festival. Entry is a £2 donation, and it starts at 7.30pm. More details and Map
