Philosophy made difficult

entry picture

Wittgenstein posits:

''language pictures facts''

Then changes his mind

and retracts.

''It's more complex than I

at first thought;

my tractatus has all

come to nought,

and there's more,

to them cats,

on those mats''.

If logic's the theory of proof

and inference a process to truth;

then it's impossible to state,

a premise, then negate,

the conclusion-

unless it's a spoof.

Clever Tommy,

Good point Did you ever read Wittgenstein along with Austin` Speech act theory`?

Haha - think I've read that book! ;)

Love this Tommy - takes a special skill to sift through all of that knowledge and pull something like this out of it. Well done - nice one! :)
