Head-case
At the end of the day
When I pack away
All my thoughts into the suitcase of my mind
Sometimes I can't close the lid.

Thanks Christine and Sian.
This is an old one I found in the loft along with a whole bunch of poems I wrote years ago and forgot about.
I still can't close the lid though, nothing changes.
Absolutely! - and to add insult to injury they always slap a label on mine saying 'Heavy load - bend knees when lifting'.

Hi Carol,
So true. But you're lucky to have a suitcase. I seem to have degenerated into armfuls of frayed and ragged carrier bags. Must remember to recycle.
Regards,
