Clam Cyclops

Clam Cyclops

Elusive quahog I -

Willowy seaweed nestling;

Salt stained ocean truffle.

Empty, beach strewn

Twice shelled ghost,

Smashed beneath the

Blade beaked, gutter

Artillery of mercurial,

Screechy, leather- footed

Seagull rodomontade.

I will abscond

This abalone bed;

Curl my ego instead

In the palm of

A moon tide angel.

Remain upwind of

This shoreline cheese -

My bilious remains.
