"Let bygones be bygones" she said

The past should carry on to be the past and nothing but the past!Yet it somehow manages to tangle my thoughts;pulling me back into nostalgia. The odd thing is that i do nothing to stop it,I seem to want it,and not want it at the same time;hard to define, hard to withstand.
But you see,the past is something you cant possibly avoid. It is and always will be a part of you, since as years go by;when you are at the height of renewal, you realise that trying to forget is useless, because some pompous fool just has to bring it up again!

I enjoyed this very much, Shevaughn. Truthful, well worded and I like the unexpected twist at the end.

Hi Shevaughn

Thanks for your kind comments on my stuff. I've only been writing a few years and I think the more I write the better it seems to get? (to me)

Your poems show a maturity beyond your years, and I get the impression of a caring sensitive disposition, with as yet an untapped mind full of pleasing ideas to come.

You have the advantage over me, starting much younger.
Put that precious time to good use, developing the natural talent you obviously possess.

Ken
