Huddersfield Poets Still at Albert

In the continuing saga, the Albert Poets are now back at the Albert Hotel (next to Huddersfield Library).

The readers for Thursday 9th April 2009, 8:00 are:

 

Mike Barlow

Winner of The National Poetry Competition 2006. First collection 'Living on the Difference' (Smith Doorstop) was shortlisted for Jerwood Aldeburgh Prize for best first collection. Second Collection 'Another Place' (Salt). Recent pamphlet 'Amicable Numbers' (Templar) is a Poetry Book Society Spring Pamphlet Choice.

 

Jo Haslam

Jo's latest collection is 'The Sign for Water': Like photographs of familiar objects taken from unusual angles, Jo Haslam’s poems surprise and delight. ?" Maura Dooley

 

Luke Kennard

Luke Kennard is a writer of fiction and poetry. His second collection 'The Harbour Beyond the Movie' was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection in 2007. He lectures at the University of Birmingham.
