Inner Demon
The devil he's in me,
he taunts me all the time,
pushing me harder,
so i'll cross the line.
He's ripped at my heart,
and brought me to tears,
he's corrupted my mind,
for far too many years.
It's hard to resist him,
even harder to say no,
but fight him i must,
if i am to grow.
He'll rule me no more,
he'll see that i'm brave,
for i'm pushing back,
i'm no longer his slave.

Graphic and succinct. We all meet our inner
demons at some time or other and have to fight
the good fight - not always easy.
Otherwise, allowing for the random upper and lower
case use of the wording, a couple of typos.
"Its harder..." should be "It's harder..." - and
"too grow" should be "to grow".
