Poets Express

VENUE: Bantry Boys' Club

LOCATION: Bantry, West Cork, Ireland

1. 6 guest poets, 9 open mic slots (5 minutes each) available for anyone to get up and read their own work.

2. a children's poetry competition, 2 age groups, 8-12 and 13-16. Winners chosen anonymously by guest poets. Winners announced on the night and allowed to read their winning poem at the event.

3. background visuals will be run

4. background sound/music will be available if that's the way you work. Poets must bring in CD for use on the night.

5. professional sound recording of the night

6. video filming of the night - your performances out on the internet (poets will have the choice to NOT have their work released for free)

7. side room to sell merchandise - bring copies of your books and CDs!

8. refreshments will be available
