Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

you will judge us from afar

Here I am sandwiched between the pages of history

the future and the past.

With the present day too fleeting to last.

I must write to understand what I have become,

and am becoming within these pages.

Though history rages on

Like a never ending funeral dirge

when it could have been so much more.

I could have been more as well

but you will never tell that from where you are standing!

Heaven and hell will become one

and so will right and wrong.

History will judge us from afar

dissect our words and treat us with disrespect

They will not judge our hearts or intentions however good

But what we did, amid the disarray of this life

this history which bleeds into decay

like the past bleeding into the present day.

◄ The A-Z of love

endless living death without you! ►

I think this is so powerful. I know many people interpret writing in lots of different ways, and more often than not this never matches the writers interpretation, but I get the feeling that this is a critcism of society, and of what past generations have done to put you in the position that you find yourself in now. Whatever the intentional meaning, i really enjoyed reading this.
