Odds-on success: Rod Tame launches debut collection

Write Out Loud Sale’s host and co-ordinator Rod Tame will be launching his debut poetry collection, Strange World Odd Person, published by Flapjack Press, on Thursday 16 May at Manchester City Library in Deansgate, from 6-7.30pm. A clue to its contents? “Transported from the Garden of England to the gay clubs of Manchester’s Canal Street, Rod Tame soon finds himself exploring the confounding values of British society. However, when encountering murderous denizens of Middle England, fallen saints in Spanish bars, event horizons and perilous next-gen cyborgs, will the nurturing wisdom of Doctor Who, Star Trek and The Avengers – or even Most Haunted – prove enough to win the day?” Tickets are free and can be booked at www.rodtame.eventbrite.co.uk or call Danny at Manchester City Library on 0161 234 1056 for more information.
