Write Out Loud poets line up with famous names in Heart Shoots charity anthology

A number of contributors to Write Out Loud appear alongside famous poets and songwriters in the newly-published anthology, Heart Shoots, being sold in support of Macmillan, the cancer care charity. The work of Elaine Booth, Jacqueline Pemberton, Cathy Bryant, David Coldwell, and Write Out Loud team members Julian Jordon and Greg Freeman, appears with poems from John Betjeman, Seamus Heaney, Benjamin Zephaniah, Leonard Cohen, Sharon Olds, WB Yeats, Dylan Thomas, Maya Angelou, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.

I've read it, and there are some remarkably moving and life-affirming poems in there. Rather nice to be among such company, too - I mean Elaine, Jacqueline, Cathy, David and Julian, of course.

I still have not seen the thing. I completely forgot about it until reminded by Greg this week. I must get myself a copy. Apparently it's pretty damn good and for an excellent cause.
