Stealing feelings,

Peeling feelings,

Down to the bone.

Take a mate.

The feeling’s great,

But feeling great

Is that your state of mind?

Is that your fate?

Maybe it’s time to go home.

Back to what you know.

Forget the chance

You had to grow.

Opt for the safe.

Don’t step off the pace.

Give up the throne.

Emotions open to inspection.

Not a bad thing,

Could give direction.

Don’t love though

By election.

Maybe sometimes

By phone.

Don’t listen to the dirt.

Protect yourself

Don’t feel the hurt.

Put yourself on full alert.

Keeping up your heart of stone.

You need to see

You’re not alone.

It doesn’t mean

You’ve been cloned.

You’re still unique,

You’ve yet to peak.

So,

Forget to speak.

Don’t let it leak,

That you can feel.

That you can peel

That you can steal.

That it’s just as real

For you to deal with.

This emotion.
