WASHED ASHORE

Aimless drifting with the tides

Sorrows are locked inside

Horizons just bleak and bare

Expressionless, empty stares

Looking for that port of call

That never seems to come at all

Then in the distance I notice you

It seems like you're drifting too

You never seem to notice I'm around

But there's something that I've found

And its tugging at me now

I can't resist it anyhow

If you would only give me an even chance

I could use a little romance

I could even change my ways

I'm gonna' make you mine someday

Won't you listen to what I say

Going to make you notice me

And I'm going to take my time until

you realise the truth Im in love with you

Looking for that port of call,

Now I rise up standing tall

Frantically calling you

Your gaze it looks straight through.
