Why not try for poetry's glittering prizes?

Two of the most glittering prizes in the poetry world are up for grabs again. The National Poetry Competition, first prize £5,000, is being judged this year by Vicki Feaver, WN Herbert, and Nick Laird. The deadline is 31 October, and you can find more entry details here. The Manchester Poetry Prize offers £10,000 for the best portfolio of three to five new poems. The deadline for this one is 31 August. The judges are Ian Duhig, Frances Leviston, and Adam O’Riordan. You can find more details here
