Our Guest Poet

'David Subacchi'

David's poetry was born in Aberystwyth into a family with strong Italian roots. It has lived in the North Wales boarder town of Wrexham for twenty years.  The culture and heritage of these languages and landscapes having been carved into David's poetry by time and experience.

'First Cut' was published earlier this year- I recommend people pick up a copy.

Rightly receiving recognition in recent months; 'A Cathedral Still' was published in the second quarterly edition of 'The Merseysider Magazine'.  The magazine can be purchased below.

David Subacchi himself doesn't seem to mind the plaudits his poetry has been attracting; just as well as it is highly regarded by the Chester Poets and very likely to keep taking David across the English Welsh boarder.

Our Guest Musician

West Kirby Singer and Poet, 'Jennifer Smith'

A cappella songs from around the world - from Gershwin to Maori.  With a bitter sweet yearning voice, Jennifer sings songs that move the spirit and the heart; songs of love, songs of romance, songs of loss, songs of life.

Jennifer's music is Influenced by the folk music scene and her spiritual and socialistic outlook on life.  A wonderful singer and poet; we may also be lucky enough to hear a little of her poetry on the night.  'Summertime' sang and wonderful 'words' maybe?
