Studies in Pripyet

fallout
falls in Pripyet
Chased off the children
its mothers and families
Never forget its there
20 years on in the form of falling hair
the town is ghostly
they can never go back
to its fairground wheel seized solid
all those swinging empty chairs
cry silent
rotting now in winds
in once this beautiful place
taking on their new forms
as nature re-sculptures
consumes with gentle pace
evolves
this peppered landscape is reborn
creeping branches
the thorns on concrete
the deep orange of rust
the encrusted garden gates
a warning to lay off
no immunity
from the silent divider of cells
and wild horses perform, curious
random in parks
still alive
and never asked to leave
perhaps they invaded
for
the breeding rituals bizarre
who knows
what could spawn
in the cruel moments of birth
deformed
a scientists anticipation
of what pops out
a living, unfolding experiment

wow Anton, close escape, you would have got out im sure, the many construction workers and helicopter pilots got blitzed. Theres som harrowing footage of a rescue chopper that snags its rotor blades on a power cable and crashes

This is an interesting poem, We have atleast one place like this here. However the east coast is riddled with cancers, of one form or another. I saw the pictures of this place, wow its ghost town. I could still see children playing there.Part of me thinks it would be cool to get some outfit that keeps you safe from the effects, and go in and video the place. Thanks to Monsanto, we have mutants all over the place. I wont say whom I thank for the science behind some of the problms. But you could bet your bottom dollar if I came up with stuff like that, Id never tell anyone. Sick people. I hope nature can clean it all up. I hope the grasses and trees take over, let the fingers of the vines engulf.Great poem, I still say you need to look up Monsanto, your blood would boil, and it could be the best rant of a life time. My blood pressure goes up just thinking about it, so I cant. I dont take the pills they want me to, for it. I just try and stay calm, hahaha.great poem!
