Amsterdam Airport the wait was to much for some.

Waiting for my final flight outside it’s bright sunlight

A great holiday I have had

And the weather hasn’t been bad

Where I’ve been what I’ve done,

From a plane seen the rising sun

Travelled where I wanted to go

Even on roads I didn’t know

Enjoying Texas and an Appalachian Spring

And everything else the holiday would bring

Be it near or be it far I got there in my hire car

Doing many a poetry reading

Then just going where the road was leading

So many memories I have to treasure this trip’s been a real pleasure
