The second poem written at Bar 13 New York dedicated to the passengers and crew of Flight 93  I visited the flight 93 Memorial Site, I left the small blue shirt badge from my days as a Firefighter, on the memorial artefact stand.

02.05.11 - 82)

Just another flight taking of in the morning light

Cargo safely stored, no one knew of the danger on board

At a given time the terrorists acted

Swift and deadly the plan re-enacted

A moment when all seemed insane, they’d taken over the plane

The plane to its target was turned, terrorism hatred burned

But soon their hopes would dissolve,

They’d overlooked American resolve

For the passengers no hope

But they would not just sit and mope

Like damp lettuce on a plate

and quietly accept their fate

Flight 93 would not attack,

Its target the passengers would fight back

Cell phone messages and text to a loved one,

Then the fight back begun

Refusing to give or yield

Bringing flight 93 down in a Pennsylvanian field

Some good people died that day,

So terrorism would not have its way

So terrorist beware will you never learn

How easy the tables can turn

Keep looking over your shoulder

You will find your victims are much bolder

Your plans coming to grief

By the real martyrs for their belief
