Magic: new open mic night in Todmorden

entry picture

A new spoken word open mic night is being launched in Todmorden, with a star line-up of guests – John Clarke and Jimmy Andrews, from Wakefield’s Red Shed, Write Out Loud favourite Winston Plowes, from just down the road in Hebden Bridge, and Alison McCabe.

Magic Words, on Tuesday 13 March from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, is the brainchild of locally-based writer and performer Emma Decent, who said: “First come, first served for the open mic, bring your four mins! Or simply your open mind and ears for a fantastic new treat of a night in there’s-no-place-like Tod.”

The venue is Bramsche café bar, centrally located near the station and buses. Entry: £3. More details and Map

What an amazing night! Well done Emma for getting 50 odd like minded people into a room where mutual appreciation, quality reading and respect all shone brightly.

Thank you for inviting me for a guest spot. An honour to be part of it, Looking forward to future nights. Hussah! Win x
