Graham Robinson!

Graham’s poetry despairs at the mundane nature of modern day woes; drudgery, boredom and grievances. It brings you along for the ride and sometimes, it leaves you in tears laughing at your ‘lot’. The absurdity and obscurity of football commentary, of TV with nothing to say, of ailments that grind down the will to live...but not the ability to laugh at ourselves. Daft poems raise their loaf and some very serious issues are tackled along the way.

You might say it's observational poetry; Observations on Life.

 

Our Guest Musician

WOL Wiganer, poet, singer and songwriter

Petrova C Fairhurst!

A poet known for her musicality of language, stunning imagery and ability to commit poems to memory; I knew nothing of her as a singer or songwriter until she sang one song. Someone then whispered in my ear, book her as a guest musician—we did! A delicate voice especially suited to drifting sweetly over the melancholic songs she plays (her own and the odd cover) the guitar picking below is clear and clean.

If you travel from afar, we will accommodate and make sure you get a good chance to read at a time that allows you to make any travel arrangements back home.
