Trev's USA Tour 2011

entry picture

This was the last poem I would write before I got to New York, it had been a long tiring drive and my inspiration had gone so I concentrated on enjoying my tour, but nothing could have prepared me for what would happen there. I wrote a journal of the trip just in case inspiration would strike when I got home so far it hasn't.

22.04.11 - 81) Through the fog and the rain time to hit the road again

Cos’ a decision I did take to have a short rest break

Now driving steady with out fear

Able to stop in the distance I can see to be clear

Then the roads drops below, the fog and a bit faster I go

Then once more back into the fog, like slowing from a sprint to a jog

The rain continues to fall, like looking through a waterfall

So on my skills I’ll depend to safely reach the day’s journeys end.

And tomorrow if the mist lifts

It’s Appalachian Spring and natures simple gifts
