The White Line Factory

entry picture

Where do they make the white lines

We see on every roadway?

Are they albino black lines

They chose to throw away?

Surely there’s a department run

By a grey-suit government minister

Who monitors the rights of lines

To make sure nothing sinister

Is happening to minority groups

Of lines single and double

(If we use one instead of two

Will we get into trouble?)

And what has happened to the lines

Of purple, green and blue?

They’d make our roads much jollier

Though it might confuse a few.

Then last of all, but not the least,

And this I find quite narking

Who controls those bully yellow lines

That stop us all from parking?

HAHA! like the idea of Daves poem
as much we like this one.

We would prefer to drive down colour coded streets
that match our car-
that would knock the Jones's sick!

LOL - love it! I think you have a thought path similar to mine Yvonne.

Back in the early 70's I wrote a piece about yellow lines spreading everywhere, speculating that we might come home one day to find they were in the house too...

Best wishes, Dave
