The Void

Alone in a crowded room.

Insular thoughts engulf this tomb.

Laughter embraces the wind chilled air, like a lantern in a blizzard...

Empty embraces starve the soul.

Hightened senses hear every human moan.

As the heart reaches out for comfort, A twinning that will console.

Hands beseach the crowded space, craves a place they can call home.

The love filled jug of entity, overflows with wanten hope,

while leeches drain the life blood , of the lost and lonely soul.

Alone in a crowded room .

Alone in a crowded room. Worse than sitting alone in a room. Great poem. Take care, Tony.

hi steve :)
i wrote this some time ago in one of my lonely moments, and on hearing the news this morning that whitney houston had died i was thinking about her, she had such success yet was so troubled and lonely ( so sad )..i thought i'd post my poem :)
me though even in my lonely moments,i'm lucky enough that they only last moments nowaday's instead of what seems like forever x
thank you so much for your kind thoughts x

Hi Tracey
I like 'the heart reaches out for comfort,' and the thought of the twinning that will console. Hope I hope
I'm less comfortable with the leeches draining the life blood ... but maybe I'm just a sensitive soul.
I hope that the last couple of lines aren't personal. Maybe I hope that little of the poem is personal
Steve
