Places available on Arran poetry week

If you’re quick, there are 12 extra places available on the Arran Poetry Adventure, a week-long residential poetry/workshop event on the island of Arran in August. Organised by experienced published poets and famed performance poets, the workshops are relaxed and fun. It is a non-profit making event; only  £120 for a week’s accommodation is required. Daily workshops run by Gerry Potter, John G Hall, Anna Percy, Steve Waling, Steph Pike, Vanessa Fay, and Rebecca Audra Smith, are free. This unique event is rightly loved by all the poets that have attended over the years, developing many poets into published poets, accomplished performers and dynamic workshop tutors. But apart from the creative boost, it is the benefits derived from being in the company of fellow poets and artists, discussing and debating ways and means of sustaining a creative career in a relaxed environment that lives long in the memory. Travel to the island is easy, train to Glasgow, boat train to Ardrossan harbour, boat to Arran, Brodick , bus to St.Columbas, Whiting Bay. Deposits are £60 now and the remainder in June £60. The week is from Saturday, 11 August, 2012 at 8:30am until Saturday, 18 August at 1:30pm For more details message John G Hall
