Dream revised

entry picture

Having not slept for days

I daydream that I may sleep tonight

At last sleep is my bedfellow

Over stuffed imagery in my mind

Offloaded in my field of dreams

Where no sequence is ever the same

Like a film editor having a field day

Where my life is surreal, devoid of rules

Each dream has a sprinkle of magic

Mixed with the suggestion of a mystery

Imagery is drawn from my memories wells

Blended to provide a portal into my past

Or a window into a possible future

Dreams are a hyperlink to all of me

Attempting to make sense of where I’ve been

Attempting to make sense of where I’m going to

Dreams are a manifestation of all my life’s desires

Suggestions of desires yet to be fulfilled

My dreams are a free spirit

A willow the wisp

Bypassing society convention

Free to move from image to image

Like a raindrop down a window pane

Until light invades, wakes subconscious brain

Hi Phil,
I really quite like this poem.
It has hidden qualities, just like our dreams have.

"free to move from image to image,
like a raindrop down a window pane."

Love those lines.
