Thank you to our Guest Poet - Elaine Booth and to Isobel for a great performance of 'Clamydia' which both gerald (the yoda of the ukelele who was fantastic) and myself who thought your poem was hilarious (again)..thanks Isobel.(you are just brill Isobel)...
Over 21 poets in attendance..so thank you for making a good night (great!)..apart from a few drunks in the audience (no not me)..we eventually got them to be quiet.
Congratulations to both Hara Willow and Steve Smith on their joint win! - Both Stella and I hope you continue to grace our flight deck (stage) in the future..I know what a difficult job Elaine had in judging all the poems!
A special thanks to Roger Cliffe-Thompson for his extremely funny poem simply entitled 'Shit'it went brown well! (sorry down well)..Stella Jones my co-host is away on holiday for most of December in the Far East (it's a chinky at the top of bold st)..haha..and with it being so near to Christmas I have decided to leave our next 'Poets Corner' until Tuesday 17 Jan at 8pm.
We have only been going for 3 months but the signs are good for the future..I would like to say a big Thank You to Stella Jones, Natalie Wharton and Joy France for both your friendship and help with photos..event flyers..co-hosting..sale of raffle tickets etc and helping to make the last 3 months for Poets Corner a success!! A big thank you to all at WOL who do so much to help our gigs!
