Yes, the first four lines really stand out because it leaves the reader to imagine so much more...

Hello Terry, yet another good poem from you. Although your poems seem short, there is a lot they say, and in the main I can identify with them. I like in this one the first line of the 3rd verse 'no magic man, no smile, no sinner in the palm of your hand' a nice line.
