Ever After

Expected chaos at the break.

A slow loop resumes

Beyond the sudden fulcrum

Of skull and skin.

The light at the end

Or the glow from the start,

The same pure blur as before

Full with the colour of wonder

Occurs in refusal of thoughts

Too wretched to melt.

Thoughts that build a world

Outside this failing one.

Thoughts that exist only

In the wonderful nothing

Of ever after.

I agree with Jo here as it does seem a little sad. Love the first line however possibly as I can relate to it.

A image could be a good idea I think however.

An ILLUSTRATOR!? Why don't you attach party balloons to it as well?! Sorry but this young man's poetry requires NO illustration. His words are, more often than not, enough.

Surreal, lyrical, a little bit sad somehow. I really like this. It would work really well with an accompanying image, if you know any illustrators. On it's own it feels a little incomplete, like it just needs a final touch.
