Sylvia Plath's Three Women performed in London

entry picture

Sylvia Plath wrote Three Women for radio, a year before her death. It intimately traces the experience of pregnancy and childbirth and speaks with rare honesty about miscarriage and about giving a child up for adoption.  It was first published in 1962, performed on BBC radio the same year, and later collected in Winter Trees, Plath's final collection. It was performed on Friday night, 8 July, by Holly Atkins, Alice Barclay, and Helena Johnson at London’s Greenwich theatre at 8pm, and is being staged again on Thursday 14 July at  London’s Bloomsbury theatre, 7.30pm. All tickets £10.
