Wild Wolf
I heard a wolf
howl at the moon,
I believe it was
sometime in June.
It sounded lonely
it soudnded sad
was I scared?
No I was mad!
Why?
The wolf is being
hunted, exterminated.
Why is the wolf
so very hated?

The wild,wild wolf
is under-rated,
as a symbol,
only hated.
In fairy tale
and hunters fable,
the warnings given
at mothers table.
Man’s fear encompassed
keeps wolves at bay
and children told,
to never stray
into the dark enticing wood,
where shadows pass by every tree,
and man must kill the lives he envies,
living wild, untamed and free.
