I pronounce meself present.

And to jerk a tear

From a christians face

Is to put a smile on mine.

 

For all the nameless faces

Of the crusades

And the victims of god.

For Gallileo and the rest

These instructions are mandatory:

 

Burn the churches

Hang all priests and skin all nuns.

Take time with bishops

And sharpen up for cardinals.

 

But most importantly

Make sure the pope cries

As the tears

Of the last sinner

Shall free us all.
