Fine words at festivals

entry picture

As you can imagine, there is plenty of poetic action at festivals around the country this weekend. To name but two ... at the Cadence festival at Tyldesley, Manchester, Words in Motion presented by Write Out Loud. Jefferama is leading the charge, backed up by, among others, Petrova Fairhurst, John Darwin, John Darwin, Laura Taylor, Gordon Zola, Antionionioni, Elaine Booth, The Nearly Dead Poets Society, Paul Blackburn, Andy N, Joy France, Michael Wilson, and Winston Plowes. It's on Saturday from 2-5 at the Simply Tasty Too cafe, Elliott Street.

On the other hand, on Sunday morning at the Beverley folk festival David Cooke is appearing with fellow poets Miles Cain and Oz Hardwick, among others, in Poetry and Toast.
