The riot of spring

entry picture

Into the riot of the spring

sirens are calling my soul

what the hell is wrong with me?

I feel like I'm a thousand years old

But I've just been a boy

who started a million fires

went down on his knees and then prayed

to catch another glimpse of your face

That day you were wearing a skirt

the day you made my knees shake

all that distant time

I knew you just had to be mine

But the princess never turned around

she never knew he was there

only madness makes sence after all

'cause you made me mad

YOU MADE ME MAD

When it's only trees who really talk to me

I guess it's time to leave and start the riot of spring

For me, the first verse says it all, a very quotable four lines.

I like this - the question what the hell is wrong with me seems somehow to make the rest of the poem also seem like a question, and leaves the reader puzzling.
