Amsterdam late morning, in Austin day is dawning

Stepped off the plane, to cold wind and rain

Now watching the clock, time to take stock

What has been planned, what is at hand

Security staff checking, don’t want the plane wrecking

Internet suite, sandwiches containing meat

Room for relaxation, room for meditation

Facilities to make your wait better, even somewhere to write a letter

People eating, chattering, munching,

Staff at computers number crunching

But I’ll be glad when it’s 14:10, and ready to fly again
