It's so very touching

entry picture

It's so very touching

the way you taunt

and tease me

with your tightly pursed lips

and your expanding hips

It's so touching

It's so touching

watching you shave

your fuzzy black hair

that sprouts everywhere

only to come back as stubble

It's so touching

It's so very touching

to see you fill out your top

the thread stretching

fit to pop

as you stagger then flop into the chair

It's so touching

It's so touching

when you considerately ask

me to scratch your thorny back

negotiating red weeping craters

while you sigh, breathe heavy and gasp

It's so touching

It's so very touching

to think you think of me

when you march in to use the lavatory

underwear round water retaining ankles

as I'm sat helpless in the bath relaxing

It's so touching

It's so touching

remembering the decades I've spent

listening to the angry words you vent

commandeering my sad littlle life

my cornerstone my trouble and strife

It's so touching

It's so very touching

to think of the years ahead

us,marching,undeterred,on

your hand clasping mine

til my fingers bleed red

past a no escape sign

to a grave open wide

It's so touching

so very touching

Good stuff, John. Full of burning resentment - does it lead to murder, I wonder...?

Having met your wife, I can say that she looks nothing like this vile picture you paint! Love the humour John - I imagine there must be women and men stuck with such partners and lurching towards death. What a cheery thought! You and Chris always manage to keep us entertained! x
