Pandoras box (wrote and performed especially for the tin angel 01/02/2011)

Pandoras box

In Pandoras box one small thing was left
A dim light at the bottom of the chest
That thing was called hope
But hope was the worst thing let out, it's purpose was a cruel joke

It was evil in disguise
Undercover as light so it could spread its lies
Infiltrating the brains of the people
Giving the illusion that the battle between good and bad is equal

But the fights not even what so ever
The bad side is so sly and so clever
The good goes by the rules all valiand and fair
Because that's really going to get them anywhere

Hope is what the weak depend on
When all of their strength is gone
Then when hope know it's the only thing they've got
It'll leave them in the stickiest of spots

So for all of those who think hope is real
You're just its next easy meal
It prays on the feeble and the fragile too
So it can drown you in sorrow, a deep ocean blue
