Slumber

Slumber

Slowly slowly fall asleep
Shallow medium and then deep
Trying to fight the shutting of eyes
But doing this is not wise
As your body starts to reject
What goes into your brain and intellect
In your mind it all decays
And sweet dreams you ponder all day
As your mind starts to slumber
The call of your name is like thunder
Rippling through your very veins
Like the speed and roar of trains
Finally you get home to rest
You lie down as your head suggests
The feeling of sheets so divine
As your mind starts to unwind
