Playground puddles splashed

into a million jewels

by our royalty

Wooden rulers slap

good children into heaven:

I won’t toe the line

Some crocodile tears

through town on a sunny day:

it’s full of children!

Teacher read to us

Black Beauty before home time:

I dreamed of green fields

Scorched and tired hill sides

we rest in mist and rain:

you’ve brought food for thought

Snow crystals falling

silent geometry shines:

your beauty lies deep
