Read My Lips

entry picture

You walked out of my life,

I cried so much.

And now that you’re back,

You lost your touch.

The spell is lost

That had me bound,

Gone for ever,

Nowhere to be found.

You no longer belong

Here in my place,

So do me a favour

And get out of my face.

What do you mean?

Have I someone new?

I don’t need another

To know it isn’t you!

Take your grubby hands

Away from my hips.

I’m not interested,

Just read my lips!!

Eww! How could you?!

I’d forgotten that pong!

And was your nose

Always that long?

Your bad habits

Remain, I suppose.

Tell me, do you still

Pick your nose?

Don’t tell me you never,

Just don’t tell!

For now I remember,

You lie as well!

Another chance?

You must be joking!

Please take that smell

As I am choking!

LEAVE! EXIT! DISAPPEAR!!

And kindly shut the door.

I can’t believe you’re still here!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!!!

Second chances are never the same are they? Once the rose tints are removed, the "picking your nose" and the beery "pong" are no longer all that cute or in any way acceptable!
This amused me Lynn

Lynn! You are my dear! It's just my style and the poem made me smile. Enjoyed reading it. With warmest wishes, Larisa
