The Strength Of Humble Steps
The tallest tree may catch the breeze,
Yet bends before the storm with ease,
A gentle root that grips the ground,
The weather tempests safe and sound!
A boastful song may fill the air,
But fades when silence lingers there,
While softer voices are calm and true,
Leave deeper marks in all they do!
No crown is earned by pride alone,
Nor wisdom in loud trumpets shown,
The brightest light is dimmed by glare,
But steady flames burn longer there!
So, walk with care and bow your head,
For humble steps go far it is said,
Greatness blooms in hearts that rest,
Not those who claim they are the best!
