Thick Fog Lights the Way
Fog is so thick over the green hills, like the ocean is rising; silently drifting inland
the sun never came up at all, just a slow progression of less, less, less darkness, more drifts
Gives everything an allure of magic, as crows caw, hummingbirds chirp and I
water my balcony garden among the wisps of flying sea bits
Settling into a new land that shifts,
admire courage of these hardy coastal folk, who fight fires
like they breathe
In such blanketing silence I remember again
what i want
Really what i want
is you to be happy, so happy, overjoyed
Arrogance tricks me into firm belief I could, would love sweeter; higher; deeper; more
I’d even be better, for your heart, your home, for your increased understanding
but you only you know, choose
Respect your choice, i do
I will stop tormenting you, will cease complaints, will accept what is,
change happens, people shift, minds pick new shiny objects to follow, mistakes are corrected
my heart a riddle wrong guessing your same name for all my parts
Truly I’m so contented here just doing my thing, following bliss, meeting artists, nature lovers, wise beings of healthy wisdom, i enjoy this simple life, delving into arts
we laugh and laugh all the day long
Be happy friend
I am sorry and I am wrong, thought you recognized the you in me but was that me?
you know what is best, forgive me won’t you?
I have been known to fight blindly for hearts that call me…
Only joy
Are you? Do you? Know how loved you are?
Your hat thrown in the air
paramount to all else
Yes I want that
You cannot ask an astronomer to deny that the earth goes round and round a yellow fireball
albeit it cost him his life
You cannot ask me to deny the music goes round and round my psyche, silent or echo
It has not cost me a life, only a heart
A fore-bemoaned dream
I want that, yes
also I want the medieval tapestry, seems
bones that lie entangled beneath the earth's weight, an eternity
still won’t be long enough.
Stars shine even
when they can’t see the moon
I sent to thee
