What Truly Matters, part 1

1
No moment ever stays the same,
Each phase of life will shift and pass.
Seek meaning, not in fleeting fame,
But in the trials we must surpass.
Take from each day the truth it lends—
For all begins and all soon ends.

2
The past is gone, its weight is spent,
Tomorrow’s path is still unclear.
Your only stage is this present—
The time to act is always here.
Let old regrets be laid to rest;
What now you do reveals your best.

3
Much of your life is shaped by work,
So find a path that feeds your soul.
Don’t hide behind what duties lurk—
Pursue what makes your spirit whole.
Invest in dreams, however small,
And rise again with every fall.

4
No coin will ever buy you peace,
If joy and health have slipped away.
Though wealth may offer brief release,
Its comforts never truly stay.
Know what you seek, and what it gives—
Real value lies in how one lives.

5
The habits that you form today
Will shape the one you soon become.
Small steps repeated pave the way—
A steady beat, not just a drum.
It’s not one act, but what you keep
That builds the life you wish to reap.

6
The ones who smile through storms and strain
Have done the work that joy requires.
They walked through loss, endured the pain,
And lit their own enduring fires.
It takes resolve to turn around,
But happiness is deeply found.

7
Delay will steal your precious hours,
And leave you with a heavier load.
Each moment lost will dim your powers,
And slow your footsteps on the road.
Begin before your will grows thin—
The race is only lost within.

                                                            ...to be continued...

Hi Rolph. There have always been wise advisory words referring to the best ways of moving on with ones life, and then, there are these of yours, that knock any of the others that I have come across into a very much cocked hat-fantastic!

thank you Sir!
