fracture

fracture

embracing london’s musicality

early saturday morning

the tube’s mighty roar

over ambient drone

on my pods,

of the rocky mountains

i recorded when

i lived in canada,

the sound of

the once daily

amtrak train pulling

up in banff

on its long

way to vancouver,

a sound i

will never forget

and that now

creates a fffffffrrrraaaacccttttuuurrrrreeeee

as my train

arrives at goodge street

and i disembark

a self-imposed dissonance

a jarring sonic-psychogeography

city broken up

with sounds unforgotten

leaning into the disconnect.

◄ the river as

my name is not stephen ►
