Happy Heavenly Birthday Mum
I sit on the bench, I ‘while away the hours’.
Mum’s rose stands out amongst the flowers.
I struggle as usual to find the right words.
As I listen to the choir of Springwood birds.
All around me such beautiful things I see.
Sitting alone with nature, that’s fine by me.
It’s all so calm here today, so still and serene.
I remove my Mum’s plaque, to give it a clean.
Hovering with intent, I see nectar seeking bees.
A sudden breeze, rustles through the trees.
Springwood gives out so much beauty and pain.
Breaking the silence, flies an overhead plane.
I sit with my back to the warm early morning sun.
I say ‘Goodbye’ and Happy Birthday to my Mum.
Miss you loads Mum xxxx
