A GARDEN JOURNEY 

A busy kitchen that seems permanently hot,

from cooking and baking, and eating a lot

Especially vegetables collected as fresh,

from a plot in the garden just over the hedge.

 

A vase full of flowers hand picked every week, makes such a difference in a room that’s bleak. The scent and aroma filling the room,

as well as the colours of each flower in bloom

 

The garden itself being nothing spectacular

In line with architectural buildings vernacular

Having said that, it’s practical and functional,

with lots going on so it’s quite conjunctional

Many different plants, shrubs and flowers,

that would keep you busy for hours and hours. 

 

The number of species you’ll find in this place would be as hard to count as difficult to trace, the origins of where they started out,

are what this garden’s all about.

 

If you’re looking for grass theres no turf here

So on the circular patio folks can have a beer,

relax and enjoy looking out for any creature,

having fun and a soak in the water feature.

 

Hydrangeas, chrysanthemums and delphiniums, fuchsias, dahlias and adenium

Trees, shrubs of many varieties, vegetables suitable for a lifestyle thats dietary.
