2025: Trev does another National Poetry Month in Texas and NaPoWriMo: Part 6 Midland to Eagle Pass
Image: The Pecos River on the countyline berween Pecos and Crockett Counties. It starts in North Central New Mexico, flows through Texas into the Rio Grande. Th eraised areas in !20 Wildlife Preserve are designed to allow floodwater from it to flow into the wetlands, sadly this doeasn't happen due to the area being drought prone, shown by the size of the river
22.04.25 – 82:69) Car stowed once more hit the road
Coffee in thermal cup to perk me up
On the way. I’m okay, no delay, GPS tellin’ me the way
Goin’s good I’m on the I10 when it becomes clear breakfast is a good idea
Gas station for something hot, have they anything? they have not
Not while 9 I think that ain’t fine, but I know a local taco bar an’ it ain’t far
They got what I want, breakfast done, away I run
GPS comin’ to the fore, places I ain’t seen before
Drive steady enjoy the view, somewhere new
It goes well an’ soon it’s early afternoon
Eagle Pass comes in sight my stop for tonight
83:70) Room not ready, for a look round I’m bound
El Indio nothin’ to be seen but at least I’ve been
Carizzo Springs to the library to upload to my USB
Call at MacDonalds when passing by to us their WiFi
Then a text to say “your rooms ready it’s ok “
I call in, look an’ see, it’s the height of luxury
Somewhere clean an’ simple to lay my head
But this was cheaper an’ the price was right
I’m sure gonna have a peaceful night
84:71) Sightseeing done for today camera snappin’ away
Still warm outside but I can
Relax under the air conditionin’ fan
Yup todays gone alright now time to say goodnight
Batteries charged an’ ready to go, let tomorrow flow
